Leadership Learning Series
Our Leadership Learning Series offer allows you to choose what CPD is most relevant to you. It is organised into the the following themes:
- Developing as a leader
- Engaging and enabling others
- Digital developments
- Service evaluation, improvement and redesign
- Understanding financial drivers and constraints in service delivery
Each theme is shaped around priorities identified by colleagues from across the health and social care sectors. Every module has a range of 'bite-sized' webinars you can sign up for, as well as a more comprehensive 'dig deeper' learning package.
Every module consists of clear learning outcomes, an overview of how to make the most of the module, a range of resources, webinars, tutorials and interactive sessions. Some modules have a 'hybrid' option, as alternate to the standard online offer, enabling you to undertake the module in-person over two study days (plus additional online learning).
Each module has been written to masters' level standard and are designed to be taken as micro-credentials, which may be used as part of a body of evidence for recognition of prior learning when applying for university* masters programmes.
Each module will run for 6 weeks with participants receiving a CPD certificate and credits on completion.

Leading and Developing People (online)
This module explores the components of effective leadership; creating a values-based culture alongside implementing organisational priorities and strategy.
You will explore the conditions needed to create high-performing teams and ways to develop others.

Adopting Digital Innovations (online)
This module enables you to critically evaluate and consider the implications for you and your service in relation to:
- Innovation readiness
- Ethics and sustainability
- Advances in assessment and diagnosis
- Technology to support self-management
- Tools to support effective leadership
Delivering Service Excellence (online)
This module explores the following components of service improvment providing you a framework that you could employ within your own service:
- Analysing your own service
- Priorities and drivers for change
