Leading and Developing People
Each module runs for 4 weeks with learning released online each week. For the online module there will also be a weekly webinar/discussion group; for the hybrid module there will be two in-person study days based in Sheffield. On completion of the module you will be able to:
- Critically analyse and discuss the use of strategy and vision as a leadership tool; and articulate a vision and engagement plan for your area of work.
- Critically evaluate your own work environment and discuss the impact of culture on staff engagement, wellbeing and development

This module examines the following topics relative to your organisation and enables you to critically evaluate and apply them to yourself and your service:
- Applying trauma-informed care approaches to leadership
- Understanding your workforce demographics and needs
- Creating a supportive and inclusive culture
- Evaluating team dynamics and performance
- Optimising team performance and developing others
In-person day 1: Wednesday 10th February 2027 10:00-15:00. The focus of this day will be strategic priorities within your work context, understanding your team's needs and priorities and creating a positive working culture.
In-person day 2: Wednesday 3rd March 2027 10:00-15:00. The focus of this day will be communication; and how to engage, facilitate change and manage difficult situations.
Tutorial 4 (online): Wednesday 10th March 2027 Evaluating and demonstrating impact.
